Did you catch that "divinely powerful"?
The weapons we have at our disposal within us are divinely powerful, meaning they are powered with God's almighty power -- and not just a little bit but tons of it. Even if we got a tiny bit of His power, that would be enough to topple anything raised against us and God by the enemy and the world system.
I thought about the fortresses we can be destroying. What are they? They are places the enemy houses all the negative things he wants us to think about God. He sows doubt and discord in us toward God and others. He wants to isolate us. He wants to make us feel we are totally alone in the world. He wants to make us think God is not good but terrible.
I am waiting on God once again for finances to come through. AND I KNOW THEY WILL.
But the enemy likes to taunt me in this.
I wrote down things i know are true:
1. God has placed us in this house and will keep us here until He is done using us in Blunt, South Dakota.
2. It is His will I feed my family and we stay warm and healthy.
3. It is His will we give lavishly and pay those who help us take care of our family (electric company, propane man, phone, etc).
If those things are true, I know God will make sure it happens.
When we were waiting to bring our dear Maggie home I knew that I knew that I knew God would provide. We had no clue how, and we also had many thinking there was no way, but we didn't listen. And God did it! It took a long time. From the time we said yes to adopting her to when she came home it was like two years. It sure wasn't our timing, but it happened.
My friend Nancy said, "God doesn't waste the time He makes you wait" and that is so true.
I have said that to myself so many times since she wrote it to me. I don't even know if she remembers saying it.
What are you waiting for? Wait expectantly. Believe. Use the weapons within you to destroy what the enemy tries to build around you. Remember you aren't fighting people. You are fighting spiritual dudes.
